who we are Since being founded in 1997 by a patient living with chronic hepatitis C as "Hep-C ALERT", this nonprofit organization raised awareness, provided health education, counseling, testing and linkage services to more than 30,000 people throughout the U.S. Ten years later, Hep-C ALERT adopted a new name, ALERT Health, Inc., and revitalized its mission.
